“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”—Genesis 50: 20
1 Corinthians 10:31
Whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, you must do all for the glory of God.
24But my life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus--the work of telling others the Good News about God's wonderful kindness and love.
2 Timothy 1:6-7
6This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. 7For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
Pressing toward the Goal
12I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection! But I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ Jesus saved me for and wants me to be. 13No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be,[a] but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.[b]
28And we know that God causes everything to work together[a] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
